Could not agree more...

What? Can you explain this please? What's a SPER-charger?

Damn you!!! I meant supercharger. I had no skills typing that one.

People forget its an air pump and the more demand you put on it, the more things change. Chargers come in certain sizes unlike turbos and their 500 and 1 combinations. So if you are only given a certain size to work with, then you have to make sure all the other parts match to it, versus the other way around. Too much cam, and you ask too much of the blower and it heats up faster, not enough compression, same thing. All things come in to play.

...Air flow depends on instantaneous compressor thermal efficiency...
...turbine nozzle size and leverage, the reactants-to-products ratio of combustion...
Try to wrap your head around that one. Any PhD's wanna take a stab at that?

I think whomever wrote this does have somewhat of an understanding of how a turbocharged engine works as a whole. I mean, buried in that run-on sentence of cascading thoughts is some truth.

Screw all that PhD crap and mumbo jumbo writing. Does anyone want to know the real way to understand turbos??????

Try them out. Buy them and try them. Spend thousands of dollars like shops like us do and try them. How do you think we learn? Sure I read books, but you wont figure out what works till you try and buy and give up and get pissed and get happy and break stuff and make power. There....simple.

Well, not all of us are trust fund babies, so we like to research things before we impulsively buy. I think whomever typed what the OP quoted was doing just that. Nothing wrong with trying to educate yourself a little instead letting a shop nickle and dime you for their own R&D efforts.

Guys I've gotta be honest, after taking a look at a turbo charger, and now looking at a super charger, I don't see much difference

Who said I had money? I have put money into some turbos yes, but I bust my *** for my money, and no one hands me anything.

The point is no matter how much you read, you wont get it right unless you try it. Its just like cams. It may sound good on paper, but there is always a second and third cam thats better than your first choice.
