Well to make long story short. I took the turbo stuff of my truck. Went from a t70 on 10lbs to N/A with 80e and it slow *** pig now.

 

WTF? why?

 

Well one motor is dieing, turbo return oil line cap was leaking oil, and the wife car was in shop. Every time truck would get into boost it would start blowing smoke out the exhaust. I need this motor to last me another month before i will be finsh with my forgen ls1. The heads are the hold-up right now.

The motor has 180k and hasn't seen an easy life. The motor has been boosted for 70k of it life.

 

sounds like you got your moneys worth. when will you be droping the ls1 into your truck? and whats the stats on the ls1 you built?

 

Well forgen LS1 with LS6 cam for now. The hole bottom end is put together. I'm waiting on the 317 heads to be rebuilt and they should be done in two weeks. So i'm hoping to be droping the ls1 in the truck in month. In my head this should of been done two month ago. I'll let know when I'm ready do the swap.

Going from boost to without def. sucks. Its something that once youve had you always crave.

Did you mod. your tune for N/A to help performance?

 

After having a turbo, tuning for N/A performance is laughable waste of ones time.... I still tuned mine though. lol

 

My old truck felt like a slug when i sold the turbo kit.
