turbo time
well ive finally decided to turbo my truck its a rcsb with a 6l im thinking about going with a single t70 for spooling instant i see alot of ppl running a t76 just wondering how ppl are liking there t76

It depends on what you want... A t70 will spool and hit HARD on the low end, but runout of breath if you want to run a lot of boost and high rpm. A T76 will still spool good, but pull high RPM with more boost. My favorite turbo on my truck was the T70 for street fun factor but its faster with this turbo.

well the truck is deff mostly street driven except the times i go to the track but i deff want something to spool at a low rpm so i deff think im going to go with a t70 then what were you putting down for numbers

well i decided to go with a t76 so im ordering all the parts next week and its time to start the build i will post the thread when the build comes along keep everyone informed

Its a lot more then just the compressor wheel size that matters. I can make 800hp on a 5.3l with a 68mm compressor wheel, you just need the right turbine wheel and housing to do it. Also it will not run out of breath before the cam dictates the power falling off.
Look at Steve's truck...made 681rwhp through a 14 bolt, 80e and 35" tires. With a 68mm compressor wheel, mind you it had an 83mm turbine wheel and 1.1 a/r T6 exhaust housing.

S400 is a vague name of alot of turbos...but I am looking at going with a T6 flange so I can run a S400 series turbo, looking at the S480 with the smaller 1.1o AR.
with my 4.10's and a 3400 stall I feel it might be a good route.
