I told ya what I think, Anything bigger then a 76 I think will have more lag then you will like for the street. As for the exhaust A/R I think the .96 would be best. You really won't need much boost to get your boat up any hill. Hell, my 4.8 pulls my Camaro and trailer, about 5200lbs down the interstate (80+mph) easy and about 6psi of boost on the bigger hills and never drops below 75. Whats your boat wiegh 4000+? Besides, exhaust housing are cheap, (especially if you get them used) you can always try a couple different ones to find the one that fits your style best. That combo, I think you should be able to pull 700 rwhp without too much trouble.

A guy on tech hit 700rwhp with a 382 and gt-67 he should be able to net well over that even with the added drivetrain lose iwth a bigger motor and turbo.

I'd like to get 800-900 rwhp, you guys think I'd have to give up too much low end to reach those numbers up top?

I'd rather go with a single to keep expense down. If I can't get what I want with a single I guess I could look into twins, but I'd like to stick to a single for now.

Have you considered STS at all? They're systems will reduce the majority of heat build-up while towing. I tow a 9,000lbs boat up to the mountains quite often and have never had any problems with exhaust temps. And for those dedicated haulers they have a special kit for towing as well to match your cubes with a suitable turbo.

He don't want a STS, I want to be the fastest sts damn it...
I think twin 60-1's would be cheaper than one monster 1,000 dollar plus turbo.....
