i thought about building my own turbo setup when i get something else to dd. I think the question is what turbo should he go with. I know there are a few nice kits but i would just like doing it myself. I can get parts pretty cheap except for the turbo and wastegate.

If you have access to a pipe bender, and the time to put into it...then yes build your own.....In my experiance, each and every time someone tried to build their own kit it ended up costing about the same as pre made kit.

lol thats what i figured. this might be the same for other people as well but i have a lot of resources i can get parts from. powder/ceramic coating, welding, pipe bending, gaskets, fittings all very cheap. I also have a few people that have done it before so for me, i might come out better doing it myself. but like i said its not for somebody that doesnt have something else to drive or wants it done in a weekend. it will take atleast a few months.
