on my stock 03 fuel pump (with 42lb/hr injectors) I ran 10psi with 100% meth injection and no issues (tuning required). I pushed to 12psi and was out of fuel pump.

The only real answer to your question, however, is the amount that doesn't cause detonation. Your ambient temps, fuel quality, and tune will dictate your max safe psi just as much as the compression.

if your gonna go thru the trouble and money to boost your truck, you might as well upgrade the fuel system.

the only reason i tring to not upgrade is with no return line i would have to do twins in tank or swap fuel system to a 04 down i think then upgrade and with 10:1 compression ive herd 5lbs would be about it. on a daily driver and be safe

Mine was a DD and in Florida heat, and like I said I ran 10psi with no issues (its all about tuning). However, like I said it had meth injection for intercooling. I also had a return-style system.

You're not talking about leaving the stock injectors in it, surely? Will this be intercooled at all?

You could always put a single walbro 255 in tank in and be better off than the stocker (which is a 190 lph if memory serves).

I ran my LQ9 at 11# with my Turbo setup no problem. That was on my 05 vho which was also returnless. I had a single walbro 255 in tank pump that came with my magnacharger. It was making 68# of fuel pressure normally and at full boost dropped to 64#. I ran that boost level with 60# injectors with a lot of room left on the injectors. I maxed the 42# injectors at 8# of boost. The 255 probably wouldn't have gone much further on its own, but 11# was a lot of fun.

You can run a Walbro on a returnless system without any issues. I've been running one for the past 3 years. I'd get 60# injectors and a Walbro for sure. Meth injection to help keep detonation in check.

you could look for an e85/flex fuel pump. they are drop in and can push alot more HP than people thought.

I ddont think adding a return line would be too hard, you will have other plumbing to do with a turbo so this would be one more thing.
