Default turbo help

okay well I'm thinking of going FI on my 5.3. currently i have a 224/230 cam on a 111+2 with dual springs and stock bottom end. i was just wandering if y'all could help with opinions. this is a DD but want it to make 500-600 hp. this what I'm thinking so far:

KB or Trick T4 log manifold
31x12x4 or 27x12x3 intercooler
80# injectors
walbro 450 fuel pump
50mm JGS gate and BOV
4'' DP
Turbo i was thinking around a 76mm with a .96 AR but don't know what brand to go with.

If you are shooting for those kind of numbers I suggest a smaller pump. The Walbro 450 seems to be a tough option for those running more mild setups. I think the AEM 320lph should be enough and if you are looking for a budget turbo the CRXracing 76mm seems to be working out great. It's very affordable too.

How is $800 for a real top name turbo pricey? They only seem pricey because everyone on here likes buying cheap Chinese turbos, which work, but they aren't even in the same class as Borg.

I would suggest the walbro 400 over the aem340. Ive had both and like the walbro much better.

You also dont need that big of a downpipe for a 5.3, a 3.5" would be more than adequate and be easier to work with and cheaper. You could probably the precision 76/75 is pretty good, or a borg s400 67mm or 71mm would be about perfect. Call Reed at WorkTurbochargers and tell him Richard sent you

Hey blackedoutchevy, I'm the one selling the MPFab kit.

here's a link to my For Sale Thread...

I also have some 76# Injectors that I wasn't planning on selling but if your interested i the kit I would throw those in. I know your immediate power goals are around 500hp, but this turbo is good for 900hp. All you would need to do is turn up the boost as you get the rest of the drivetrain ready for the extra power.
