Yeah i found out the hard way, i actually have 2-50mm jgs gates now haha... Overkill but i have plenty of control... This is what i come up with, one gate on the log manifold cannot bleed off enough gas from both heads merging in one 2 1/2"-3" pipe i guess just because of the sheer velocity of the gasses by the time it gets to the elbow in the log manifold. It still baffles me how it wouldnt work by itself on the log manifold because it seems very logical but it dosent haha... i think if you have a tubular kit with both manifold merging into the turbo flange then 1 would be plenty....Unless its divided then 2 small ones would prolly be necessary

The waste gate is in the crossover pipe, but my question is. Is a 40mm wastegate to small which would cause my problem?

Take the spring clear out and see if it still makes all that boost.

I never liked the synapse gate I had. Never could get it to work the way I wanted. Too many springs, ports and seats, lol.

I wouldn't get into boost again with that thing unless you are checking to see if its fixed. What did you change about the wastegate, and how is it setup now? A 40mm should be fine with your setup unless you have a restriction post-wg somewhere. Dump the gate and run it if you can.

make sure you didnt have a flex bellow collapse shut on you...... If you have one inbetween the cross over and the wastegate it can also restrict flow to the wastegate..

yea I did weld a bellow on the cross over pipe and my next thing was I am going to dump the wastegate to the ground and try that. The wastegate is brand new.

Ya, those are from the way back when file, lol. I think that was the first kit I had on my truck. The first pic was the flex on my WG, so I cut the x over and found the funky wine glass, . Haven't uses flex lined bellows ever since.

that doesn't look good at all. I called and talked to the rep at synapse and they said that maybe I have to much back pressure on the exhaust side since I ran the wastegate back into the main exhaust so he said to remove one of the springs and the wastegate and see if that helps, But I'm hoping that is the problem and I sure hope the bellow isn't screwed up...
