Yah but saying GT40 is kind of meaningless because there are 4-5 of em . I also seem to recall a smaller 67... Like a GT37-67 or something on those lines. If you want I can get you the wheel measurements and A/Rs (just have to get a new set of calipers) off the one I have in the garage

Heh -- I guess calling it a GT67 is kinda meaningless too -- I blame garrett!
Btw what garrett has on their site are the "off the shelf" versions -- but you can get one with any turbine/compressor combination you want, pretty much.

Yes, the info could be mighty helpful in my decisions. I'd appreciate that. I'm just throwing ideas around at the moment. If you don't mind, I wasn't around for any part of your builds, could you enlighten me about your project with the 6.0L(hp, boost, fuel sys, etc). You could link me old threads if that would be easier. I've tried the search button and can't find much on here or tech.

You may not have to measure. I may have found it.

I run the GT40 in my truck, would need to do a little checking on the a/r this and that stuff. But I am no were near 15psi since it is still stock. Lots of fun tho, only real problem I ran into is changing my mind in mid stream and the Water tank outlet line. Should have thought longer on where to mount the turbo and at what angle. O well some to tweek once the car is done. As far as the tuning not done yet, but damm the truck timing table takes a nose dive in the high table. Even saw some negative stuff in there. Anyway I put all those lower number to 10 and its fun, until I can get to the dyno.
What type of manifold are you going to build?

I ran 10psi on the 6.0L block but never made it to the dyno. All I had at that point was 44# injectors, the STS kit + meth, ! cats, custom tune, etc. I had been planning on a tranny change down the road, but one day while tuning PE, I "decided" to get the new tranny ahead of schedule

Once I made that "decision", I decided to build the 408 while the tranny was away visiting FLT.

I'll get you the wheel sizes -- this weekend if I can find calipers locally.

If I do this I will try to use the stock manifolds. I am still in the EARLY planning stages of this. I lost sleep over it last night so I figured I'd better do some research today so I can sleep tonight. The reason for this is I don't think I would mind a little turbo lag. Having to pulley the radix down to where I like it makes boost too soon for me running around everyday. It kills gas mileage as well. Not to mention a turbo is a little more forgiving on your drivetrain (manual tranny here). Keep the great info coming guys

Check out this turbo calculator spreadsheet I found.
You may have seen it???
