Default Turbo Escalade dyno results inside......

Well I took it to the AWD dyno and got it dialed in for 9#s. It ended up making 491AWHP and 560AWTQ. This is a bone stock LQ9 with a Livernois turbo kit bolted on

Those are damn good numbers.

I've never figured out why turbo set ups make HIGH numbers on the dyno compared to a S/C set up yet, they usually run very similar times at the track. Anybody care to explain that to me?

Same truck:
ie..6L @ 9 psi turbo makes 550hp/tq on dyno, runs 12.5 qtr.
6L @ 9 psi S/C makes 475hp/tq on dyno, runs 12.5 qtr.

maybe it has to do with the under the curve power a SC has compared to a turbo

i think it has more to due with the turbo lag...s/c are instant boost, where are the turbo has to spool with the rpm's. i think the turbo would perform better with a manuel tranny b/c of the clutch factor...just my un-professional opinion!

IMO, Turbos are more efficient and generate more power but on the track in a "street" vehicle form there is generally lag and is where the superchager (roots style) takes the advantage.
