No one said it was the best way, just the cheapest....

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

You said the "R" word. Those things make a lot of power down low. They are the parts destructor. You need MAD cash to be a big swingin twin screw man. N2O is this guys ticket. cheap & fast, the things he wants. You of all people bring up The radix

I am pretty sure there are plenty of people buying the MP112 kit new and installing it "as is" with NO other mods, like custom tuning and not having any issues. Your truck will last a long time if you just don't screw with the package. It's thinking outside the box(boxes) that "typically" costs all of us more money. I don't mean that as a "pro radix" thing either.

No doubt there are a hundred ways for cheap power and a hundred ways to do it with little damage to other parts, but there is no way, NO WAY you can dodge the fact that parts are gonna break if you drive it daily and "romp" on it. NO way. If you are making over 450HP in one of these bricks and drive it daily (20K plus a year) and drive it like you stole it, NO WAY you aren't breaking out your wallet for other stuff.

Get a wet nitrous kit, don't ever run more than a 75 shot, don't spray thru shifts, don't spray from a launch (under 3500RPM) and you'll have fun and probably last a lot longer than most. But it won't work, you'll get used to it, want a100 shot, then a 125 shot, then spray thru shifts, then spray out of the whole...it all leads to the same place...$$$$$.

Not trying to be a smart ***, I was being honest

I think that is one of the best benifits of a Radix, they are already pretty much maxed out LQ4 + 112 leaves less room for upgrades... Sure you can still throw money at it hand over fish lol (fish, I think that is funny for some reason).. But ANYWAY you will be less likly to up grade past the point of engine failure.... Still leaves trans and rear-end, plus all the "other" junk one thinks they need... Like gauges, tunning, cam, 90mm throttle body....
Trever1t is a perfict example, He has yet to kill that 5.3, a engine that has been **** to pistion ring land failure... I'd hate to see what he has spent though, even with-out an engine replacement, FI isn't cheap....

doesn't that 5.3 have 71 cc heads on it? the set-up on that truck has changed enough, I can't remember if you swaped the onld 5.3 out or not...

Trever1t, get over it......
I'm sick of seeing you push your set-up SO hard with very little damage to show for it. Start gather those engine parts sucker....

(j/k, I hope you don't kill your engine)

Yeah, been through a few 5.3 thanks to the STS kit. Between the pump failing and pushing oil all the time and the water sucker it was, we had a few motors in there.

But now its still a stock bottom 5.3 with stock 6.0 heads, and a cam. So yeah, its kinda stock.
