alright well i guess i should have done more research i cant afford 1000's of dollars. I would like to think that someday i could..i love my car and gas prices pending i plan on driving it for awhile. I would like to do a cam swap then, as im part of a truck club and we do our own swaps. I like the z06 idea cause i can get push rods, springs, and the cam for like 300 bucks. Is ?that a good cam to swap in? Obviuosly im looking for performance but also that dirty sound that some cams give you. if i went the z06 route i would do a tc also, so what stall would be good if i went with that? what other cam would yall recomend if not that one. Thanks

ps guys sorry this wrong place for this question but im still interested to see what people say about that kit

Cam and stall is good. I would suggest exhaust, can and intake first. Stall can wait but...just an opinon.

Hey bro. First thing is you got awd, so that works for you at the track. My two wheel drive old 5.3 had a used STS Kit slapped on it from ebay with no intercooler, a cam, pulley, injectors, plugs and a tune and ran a 13.6. Oh yeah, and it had cast 20's all the way around when I ran it. Remember, stock trans, stock Bottom end, stock heads(besides springs, retainers, and Rods) Stock Intake manifold, stock rear end, i think you get the point. Mid 14's should be pretty easy, especially if your running a 6.0.

Why the heck would anyone think that just because the boost is low you dont need an intercooler? How many of you have ever logged IAT's doing this? Its freaking hot. Its like adding boost and making no power with 200*IAT's. Been there done that. Dont let it fool you.

Rick

I'm logging 102 IAT at WOT with no meth and an obstructed IC!!
Hasn't gotten hotter than that after logging lots of freeway pulls on a 85 degree day. Oh, yeah it is thanks to you that it actually runs Rick!

Rule of thumb is; every 10 degrees of cooling will give you 1 percent more power if the pressure remains the same. So if car X is running 200 degrees IAT at 15 psi and car Z is running 100 degrees IAT at 15 psi...car Z is making 10 percent more power.
sooo get an Intercooler!
