Default turbo decision

I have been looking into a Sinister Racecraft turbo kit for a few months especially now since they just put them on sale for $2500. I know the trick kit is probably a better kit but is out of my price range at this time. If the Sinister kit will not fit for my needs I'm gonna have to wait a while to turbo it. I'm looking for first hand experience with this kit since I do not know much about it.

I have a 2013 1500 4x4 with 6.2 and it is my daily driver that is sometimes used to haul a boat, 4 wheelers, or car hauler. I want something reliable enough to pull when needed and mainly just a fun truck to drive. No racing whatsoever.
Any info would be appreciated.

I will save you a lot of trouble. The 6.2 is going to need a big turbine, I would do a T6 but a T4 with a 96m turbine or bigger will work And it will still spool up easy specially with the right cam and converter. Cam and converter doesn't have to be huge to work. but stock will work.

So you're saying that even the Trick stage 5 kit is too small?

Stage 5 was designed around te 6.2L.
A stock 6.2L standard Stage 5 is great for.
Install a cam turn up the boost we start getting into the larger wheel.
Push it harder even a larger turbo may be needed.

It comes down to what the truck is being used for and what the budget is.
If the budget only allows a small turbo to be used
In a 6.2L. Wait and save more money and buy a kit that works.

Rick, can hook you up with a turbo kit that will fit your need. Rick has a lot of R&D on the 6.2....
