What's the final drive ratio in first and second? It's got to be high as hell, I think stock is over 5.0 in first, I was told to leave gears alone with 6l80. Maybe my tuner is nuts... Lol...

2.48 x 4.3 is 10.66. My 5.3 turbo was 3.06 x 4.10 = 12.55 with a 32" tire and it was awesome! with 3.42's not so much lol. You are not currently over geared at all. If you were putting out the power of Lmm you might be but not at your level. Go to wallaceracing.com. They have a bunch of calculators for tire dia and gears so you can see the result with each tire and gear.

Thanks for the tip bro yea I saw the drag radials for 29.5 shows 11.57 which seems good versus the 28”(12.19)

Thoughts?

Sorry I can't comment on tires. Quite honestly I haven't used a drag radial in many years since I'm 4wd and I can hook ok at my power level and it's a dd anyway. I would see what you plan to trap near the top of 3rd at what rpm without having to use OD at the strip to see which tire would be best in the 1/4 mi. BTW my turbo truck dropped .64 in the 1/8th going from 3.42's to 4.10's with no other changes so you're on the right track. I would go back to the Wallace calc again for help on diameter vs rpm

I do like the 4wd on the street. Yesterday I needed to change lanes quickly from a stoplight in front of a c7 Vette. Just slipped it in 4wd and bye bye. And you're welcome. There are plenty of great people on here way more knowledgeable than me but I'll help any way I can.
