Default Turbo cam???

Can you get a good lopey cam that works well with a turbo? I read a good bit about the LSA and all that and from what i gather you can't have both, a good sounding cam and a turbo...... does anyone have what im thinking about or even a video of a ls motor with a choppy cam and a turbo that still makes good power?

You could probably get away with a little lope... I'm sure you read, but the more overlap you have, the less power it'll make since the boost is pushing against the high backpressure of the exhaust during the duration of the overlap. This is especially true for guys running T4 turbos because their backpressure is much higher. T6 could probably get away with a little more lopey cam. I know vanillagorilla has a nice sounding cam in his truck, but he is running a T6 turbo. Food for thought I suppose.

IMO, your not trying to get the max out of your turbo setup, so no real need to have a great turbo cam. ANY cam will "work" it a turbo. Just put the cam in it that will give you that sound you want and then set the boost for the power you want and have the best of both worlds for YOU!

That cam and a 600 rpm idle speed will give you all the lope, shake, and chug that you could want. Just might run pretty good too.
