is this turbo big enough?? what about the A/R??
if i decide to build a ls1 383 would a turbonetics tc-78 ( Utilizes a F1 68 mm turbine wheel and .96 A/R. Turbocharger is rated for ~950 HP)
of should i go with a different size??
i might go with just a forged 370 my main thing is will the .96 A/R be to small i am wanting to make around 600-700rwhp on 93 octane and supporting mods including a custom grind turbo cam it will be a street truck not a "drag race only"...
i had a 330ci in my lightning with a 76mm .96 A/R and with 8.9cr and 20psi on 93 octane it made 721rwhp thats why i am wondering if the A/R will be right or to small
what turbo would you go with???
i chose the turbonetics for the warranty and it is in my price range
of should i go with a different size??

I have been running a TC76/.96AR with the little P wheel on my 370. I just orderd a T78/1.15AR, F1 68 wheel

I think you will be ok with either engine, but the 370 gives you a little more piston skirt, and you don't have to buy an aftermarket crank. That turbo should feed either engine, I would shoot for a max RPM in the high 5's to low 6K range on the cam.

Yes I would order the bigger one, we went back to back on a Silverado SS with a 370 and picked up 5mph at the same boost level. This was going from a TC76 68mm/.96 to a TC78 68mm/1.15.

well i found 1 hell of a deal...and ordered it
it is a TURBONETICS T78 w/ f1 wheel, 68mm turbine wheel in a .96 A/R turbine housing with a 4" v-band discharge.
coudn't pass up the deal
the larger discharge should help out on back pressure i only plan on running 15-18psi
