Default Tried WOT for the first time..

Car Specs:
I got the 2008 Regular Cab Sierra, swapped the 5.3 to a forged/Stroked L92 418ci with a 9.6 compression and a D1sc Procharger with 14 Psi pulley, and a Flt lvl5 4l80 with a 3000 stall torque converter and custom driveshaft & Dual Intank Walbro's

Just put 600 miles on the new engine, running on a base file tune (rich), black smoke at WOT..

Race Story:

Got a friend with the 2010 Camaro SS with an X pipe and filter and tuned, and launched the race from about 40 mph and we were neck to neck till approximately 100 mph, and then the truck just pulled away easily after that.

Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the fuel pressure nor the boost, as my focus was on the road..

And finally, the next step will be to put the car on a dyno and tune it from there and to check the AFR ratio ..

Question is was the outcome supposed to be any different, or that sounds about right.., and or what are your impressions..

Cool.....I bet it is alot of fun to drive.

What about the dual pumps, are running a return system? Does your truck run a fuel pump control module?

I think at any given speed, you should have blew the fukn doors off a new SS. Hell I can leave new SS's, vettes, just about anything. And I am not running no where near 14psi.. Make sure you def get a dyno tune, as a base tune sometimes can be just that.. Try again after your a fine tuned..

There's a difference between running rich and running black smoke out the tail-pipe. I'm guessing you washed the cylinders down with that amount of fuel, might also look into an oil change while your at it. When you get it tuned you should smoke that SS without a problem. You shouldn't weigh much more than 300 lbs more than him anyways.

Yeah, its a return system.

Oh and one point I forgot to mention, it's an L92 block stroked to 418 ci

From what I read, I should be putting more power down to the wheels.. can't wait to getting it dyno tuned and see how it is from there..

Based on how my old combo ran you should see 9's without too much difficulty. I would also expect no less than 800rwhp, but maybe closer to 900 if the tune is good and you can run enough timing without pushing the head gaskets out. My 346 made 700 to the ground at only 5900 rpm and made max power around 6800. The graph was ramping up pretty fast before the clutches let go in the tranny. I feel pretty confident that it would have made at least 775 rwhp if not 800. That thing should be a monster and once dialed in should destroy a near stock 10'SS. Your truck sounds like it's bad ***. Can we see some pics?

Questions:

What injectors?
What size crank pulley? stock?
What size blower pulley?
How much rpm at 14psi?
How much timing is in it right now?
What heads?
What head bolts?
What head gaskets?

If your anywhere near Houston Texas, hit me up. I can probably help you get that thing dialed in, unless you already have a tuner that knows whats up.

I'm going to get some pics and get a hold of the spec's sheet, but of the top of my head its got 60 lb injectors.

Sending you a pm regarding the dial in..

Also curious. I would think that D-1SC is getting close to being maxed out at 14lbs on a 418".

Sounds like a killer build. Get some pictures/specs posted.
