What gasket do you use for the oil sender adapter thing for the turbo oil? Mine is leaking oil everywhere since I put it in the 6L. It never leaked on the 5.3 but does now and it's a mess.

 

Rock auto has them for cheap.

 

Which one u have? The factory oring gasket is used. Might have a damaged oring?

 

It's the factory o ring type. Maybe I didn't tighten it down enough. I'll get a new gasket

 

Careful tightening that sending unit down! I stripped mine I do believe. And will have to somehow helicoil the bolt holes.


Rtv seems to be keeping it sealed up but I get the odd drip.

 

I thought the rear main was leaking. Oil all over the trans and back glass on the hoe. When I pulled the heads off I could clearly see it was the sender. It's just one of the many things I have to fix. Some red neck didn't know how to work on this motor lmao. Not fully torqued head bolts, stripped out exhaust mani bolts. But this motor has the big beefie rods!!
