Default Treadstone Intercooler Fitment

Anyone using a Treadstone TRST9 Intercooler on an 03-07c Silverado? Just wondering if there were any fitment issues or problems running the piping straight down and back up between the fans and engine to the throttle body.

its not really a thick intercooler so I imagine it would fit your body style pretty easy especially since they fit the thicker core intercoolers. I know mine is a nnbs but heres it mounted up on my truck to get more or less a visual reference since our radiators are the same size.

Awesome, I thought that was the intercooler you were running but couldn't remember. How were your IATs with our wonderful Texas weather? I know a lot of guys get by with much cheaper coolers but I don't mind paying a little more for something that's really going to keep the temps down.

Here's a kit that's built for the truck
4" Race intercooler kit.

We can do this 4" core for 999.00 shipped.

I already have 90% of the piping and couplers and a BOV so all I really need is an intercooler. And with how im envisioning running my piping I don't know how well that particular intercooler will work with my setup. I do appreciate the insight though Rick!

I run a treadstone core with custom tanks. I also run the same in and out configutation as show in the picture. I assume it's probably the same core. Works great in 95 degree FL heat. I do have a little higher it's because I don't have the filter boxed off. In 95 degree heat I'll see 120 at the intake, but it wont go up even a degree through a full pull. I'm running 12 psi on a bw 80mm.

Intercooler works pretty good my intake temps stay under control even on the hottest days even down here in South Texas. Ill have to see the logs to get you a for sure number but shouldn't be too much higher then ambient. If you look at the Steve Morris youtube page Rashadd on here is running the same core but with a dual in single out config (twin turbo) and made 1900hp with it.... Not bad for only $500

Good deal, I've actually seen that video before so to know that he is basically running the same cooler on that kind of setup makes me feel pretty confident I wouldnt ever have any issues with it. I'd go with one of the cheaper more commonly used coolers if I didnt plan to actually drive the truck year round but when it gets up to 90-100 temps I dont want to run into problems with crazy IATs. With my procharger setup and their crappy 2 core cooler it was pretty bad even when the temps outside were in the 50-60 range. Next is to figure out how to plumb in my wastegate and what I need to go with on that. Thanks again fellas

Yeah I remember looking through your build thread and noticing your cooler is setup pretty much the same but with custom end tanks. Id still like to have you build me a set of manifolds but Im not sure its in my budget anymore, lol. Plus I only plan on running 1 wastegate and having both banks merge into one pipe before the turbo flange.
