275/40R20's is my vote. Going with a small tire tells you how fast it is with that tire, but if your street tire is 4" taller it gives you no idea of how fast you are in street trim. I've pulled 1.9' 60' times on my 20's and how I run at the track is how I run on the street.

if he wants to keep 3.42 gears id get a smaller tire thats for sure.

pulling 1.9s is a lot easier for you than him because he has a lot more low end torque.

Up to him honestly id do a 3.73 swap and stall before anything else

Looking at things if I was to do a gear change I would have to go ahead and step on up to the 4.10s to make it worth wild. Would the 20" tire work at this point ? Also what stall would you concider for this set up.
Also it is a posi in the back.
Thanks

yank sc3000 all the way for the stall its perfect for the 112.

lets take 5800 rpms lets say in 3rd.

with 3.42 gears 5800 RPMS IS 143 mph and 285 40 20 tires
with 4.10 gears 5800 rpms is 122 mph and 285 40 20 tires.

you can see the 4.10s right there would help a lot.

Now lets say you did 4.10 gears and ran the 275 40 17 drag rad like i was saying. at 5800 rpms would be a 108 mph.

Now on your truck you ran thru the traps at 97 mph. With 3.42 gears that like 3500 rpms thats the killer right there.

With 4.10 gears, the drag rads like i was saying and the stall im sure you could dip into the 12s very easy and with a 30 inch tall tire it wont wind up on freeway.

I have 4.10 gears stock in my trailblazer ss and my wife drives everyday and 70-75 its fine and we have 30 inch tall tires.

NORCAL, do you think a SC3600 yank stall is to much of a stall for my truck .
I will be installing a set of 4.10 motive gears as soon as I can find some for my rear end.

Nice truck! Most of the guys with pd blowers benefit from about a 24-2600 actual stall from what I recall just to take advantage of the torque curve. However your setup is likely a bit heavier than some of the others. Maybe trever1t could chime in as well.

3600 is too much stall with a Radix style blower. Unless you're locking once you're rolling you'll lose too much efficiency. A 3000 is on the edge of too much with a Radix. Many have ran the 3000 and later went lower and faster. A 2600 Yank for example will flash stall to around 3000 behind a Radix'd 5.3L and around 3100 behind a Radix'd 6.0L. The 3000 tends to be around 3400 and higher flash stall behind any modded Radix setup. Look at Krambo's setup as an example. He had ran the 3000 Yank 2600 Yank, and a 2600 or so PI. It was with the lower stall that he ran the quickest. KYSilverado ran 1.6 60's with his stock torque converter if I recall also. Not that it's the choice for the fastest though. Just look around at who has went real fast with a Radix and see what they ran.

BTW, You're really going to like the 4.10 gear.

3600 is way to much. the yank sc3000 is a great converter. i had a 2600-2800 and with drag radials the sc3200 which i have now in my 112 pulled so much better and shift extension was perfect.

275 40 17
4.10 gears
yank sc2800

You will hit 12s people say no way but you just watch that wheel/tire combo works wonders.

ONmy wifes tbss i ran a 13.3@103 with only tire change and the tbss come wiht 4.10 gears. We make 320-330 rwhp stock and im sure your truck makes much more.

4.10s will wakei up thats for sure
