too much cam for a 5.3??

was thinking about going bigger than my gt2-3 cam .. saw a clip of the LPE ZL1 cam... sounds sick for a blower cam. 223/235 .610/.620 115.0 would this be too big of a cam for my 5.3 and 2600 stall? opinions please.....

dont wanna go bigger than the 2600 with my blower....just thought it might be "doable " on the larger scale of things...i drive a few miles back and forth to work daily so it doesn't have to have super great street manners. maybe i should just build a 6.0

I wouldnt run that cam in your truck.
That was designed for a 6.2 with square port heads.
if youre really feelin a bigger cam then you can do better than that. First you dont need nearly that much cam for a 5.3 to sound like that, and second a cam with duraiton numbers that large on a 5.3 would call for more RPM than that 112 wants to give you.
218/226 on a 114 would sound plenty healthy in a 5.3. Give it 3* advance too.

Do you have a timeslip you can post, and/or a dyno sheet?
I know your cam specs, but not your cyl head specs. Give me some info for a starting point, and I'll give you my opinion. Also, which 2600 converter are you running.

the converter is a circle d triple disc 2600. the heads are prc 2.5 which is a stock 5.3 casting ported and polished with 2.02 and 1.575 valves. no dyno sheet but making somewhere in the 470-500 rwhp range
