Default Too late to go boost now?

I was planning on going nitrous with a standalone fuel cell and spraying 200 on the plate. But looking around On3's kit looks great and reasonably priced, with 10-12psi I can make up for the 200 shot(Their new 78/75 turbo). I want 650whp, I'd say the truck is anywhere from 420-450whp N/A.
Keeping my afr perfect with meth would 10psi be safe w/ my compression? LQ9 flattops w/ LS3 heads milled to 66cc.
I'll end up going with a boost cam too.

Truck is a 2000 Silverado single cab 4x4 w/ 06 front end

Mods:
-LQ9 6.0
-4l80e w/ NP263HD transfer case w/ shift kit
- Circle D multidisk 4000 stall
- 4.10 gears on a 28.5" tire
-SDPC CNC'd LS3 heads hand finished porting with manley valves milled @66cc
- @TickPerformance Stage 1 LS3 cam (227/238 .613/.586 @115+5)
- Truck style L92 intake w/ 92mm TB
- FBO with X-pipe on Corsas mounted like a vette
-25% UD pulley
- And supporting mods (headstuds, fuel system, etc.)

Off topic, but how did you get a 4x4 that low? Is it like the obs with torsion bars up front?

You should be around 10.6:1 correct? I would think that should be just fine. With good quality fuel and as they say it's all in the tune.

E85 will keep it safe under boost.

I calculate a 10.9:1 static cr assuming stock LS3 gaskets which is not unmanageable on low boost with the right fuel and timing. However, your supporting mods (converter, cam, gears, exhaust) look to be all wrong for a turbo setup. At this point, I would probably continue on the nitrous route but would use a progressive controller. The stock pistons and rods may not like a 200 hit out of the gate for too long.

I don't know why everyone thinks you have to run a really high gear with a turbo set up. If you don't choke the turbo, then run as much gear as you want for what your doing with the truck.

Anyways, do you want 650rwhp all the time, or only when you turn the bottle on... I would prefer a tighter (larger) converter for a turbo set up so you aren't spooling the turbo whenever you're in the throttle. I think you are fine compression wise if you only run 10psi or so. And that should put you right around 650rwhp. The problem is you won't have much cushion for error. If you get a bad boost spike, you could blow the motor in a hear beat. So that is something to think about when you decide which direction to go.

I think you are good to go with a nitrous set up but I really like my turbo truck. If you do go turbo, I would change the converter and cam and run 10psi through it.

Yep torsion bars upfront. I have DJM 3" LCA, McGaughys 2" spindles, and McGaughys adjustable 0-2" drop keys. I'm soon upgrading to Ridetech air ride upfront.

I want 600+whp at all times. I'm going with E85. I have a nice nitrous kit with progressive controller and all but man I just love the sound of a turbo. Would a loose converter hurt ET's real bad if so how bad?
Thanks for the input guys!

E85 will be your best friend if you go with the turbo. Just gives you more of a reason to pull the trigger.

You will want to measure converter slip going down the track. You don't want it slipping 20% when you're in the throttle. It will be slow and cause a **** ton of heat. You'll probably need to a specd converter for your truck once you get rolling.
