Default Timing table for 4.8 turbo

Does anyone have a timing table for turbo'd 4.8 I can look at for reference? I have been able to get my fueling dialed in pretty well with a WBO2 but the timing is really stumping me.

I basically ended up putting the stock table back to but I get around 7 KR at WOT in those cells.

By the looks of the stock tables (High octane / Low octane) even the total timing for the high octane are way low compared to what I've read about how much timing these LS based engines like. This is the first LS block I've tuned. I'm using HP Tuners.

Any help/suggestions appreciated.

You're probably fighting false knock, a common occurrence. Make sure "burst knock" is disabled. Also, if you have aftermarket valvetrain stuff( cam, springs, etc) they tend to be noiser than stock and adjustments to the knock sensor sensitivity are in order. Before any deviation is done however I would confirm that AFR is good and there is indeed no evidence of detonation.

Thanks for the insight. I disabled burst knock and wow, what a difference! I think I can now work on the timing table a bit more. I'm amazed at how much harder its pulling without that 10 degree of retard being pulled.

Its funny how the areas of concern change as you keep tuning. Now it spools up fast at WOT and I find myself hitting a dip while it shifts to the next gear. Will have to go after that next.

How much total timing are you running at WOT?

I'm not sure if this is the proper way to determine total advance at WOT, but according to the lower right portion of my log it appears to be 12 degrees? (I'm running 93 octane gas at the moment)

I'm conservatively running 13* right now at 13lbs of boost with my set up. I'm running strait 91 octane. I could probably go up a degree or so but no reason to push it.

I run 16* at 12psi. That is with 10.0 CR. No real issues and egts are decent.
