Default Thinkin about home made front mount...

Talk me into it guys!!!

My biggest question is, what turbo do I get? I think I'll probably start with 243 heads, stock manifolds ported and flipped around, blow off valve, and 24x12x3" core intercooler... I'll prob run 12-14 psi MAX with methanol injection..

Also, this is a budget build... Tryin to keep the prices down

Are you gonna build your own crossover pipe and build your own flange to adapt the manifold to the turbo?

If not this seems like a awesome deal and would get you a good start. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=462549

Im thinking about picking it up myself.

Cool, where can I find one? Oh, and yes, my truck is a 5.3. Current mods are in my sig... And whats the best way to setup the return oil from the turbo without having to drop the pan? Or is that just something I have to do? I heard some people just tap a hole into the timing cover...

You'll need these if you're using the flipped manifold:

$26/each
3/8 stainless, uses stock metal oring.

or this:

tapped and threaded , 1/2" stainless, T4 flange: $34

FarmTruc. Are those plates what they use to build the adapter pipe to go to the turbo flange? If so where might I be able to buy them?
