I have seen many people raving about the LPE GT2-3 (207/220-571/578-118.5) cam with the Radix. Is it the large split between intake and exhaust that makes it great, or the high LSA, or what? I am thinking now about swapping over to one from the 216/224-551/551-115 I am running now, seems like it would make better power and idle more like stock according to what I have heard from other members.

KySilverado also said he is having good luck with the GT7 (208/230 .554/.546 w/1.7 rocker 121CL), but j's01silverado said that it seems that the GT7 is for turbo applications. What makes it good for turbos and makes the GT2-3 better for the Radix?

Hmmm. LPE told me it was specifically designed for the Radix. Seems I remember Moregrip stating they told him the same.
It works very well for me. If anything maybe just a small shift of the powerband down lower. Maybe a +2 or +4 advance on it.
You could drive yourself crazy second guessing a cam choice.

The way I read into it...the higher LSA on these puppies are really highlighting the low end torque. Taking full advantage of what the radix does down low. Obviously helping with idling characteristics.
The split, I haven't read much on it, but it makes so much sense to me that the duration is really helping as well. The radix loves these cams for those exact 2 reasons, really throws you into the radix's sweet spot right away and with that split, keeps it very effiecient along the way.
But I am a cam dummy, as you can tell from mine in my sig, lower LSA and very short duration. Just high lift.
So your answer, yes and yes IMO.

Dont know what to say here... Kinda misleading. I wonder what the GT7 is really designed for.

I wonder if the GT2-3 works better with a 5.3 and the GT7 works better with the 6.0? I may have to start looking for one. I could go back to stock rockers as well, and get some good $$ back for the Crane gold adjustables I have now. Hmmm......

They (lingenfelter) also recomended the gt2-3 cam for my truck aswell. I wish someone had some before and after dyno and or track times with this cam. And yea one can drive himself crazy picking a cam.
