Default T76 rear mount on 8.1L?

Any one done a T76 rear mount on an 8.1? By the charts a T76 should support at least 10-12 PSI @ 5200RPM on 496ci. I wonder how the spool up would compair to a front mount on a 6.0l?

I believe Tierod was running a T76 on his STS 8.1 truck before it burned down I don't think he had much trouble spooling it.

the told me it was 135hp and 150 lbtq gain at the wheels. Im sure spool would be on kill by 1800-2000 rpms.. thats a little turbo for those cubes.

Also some one posted on here of doing a STS kit with the upgraded 76 turbo. that truck made 450whp and 600lbtq i think is what he said.

I won't get rid of the diesel unless I get a fair price for it. It's not really the truck payment that's so bad, it's the insurance. Im paying out the *** because it is a "TURBO DIESEL" The insurance is almost as much as the truck payment.

id shop your insurance then.. I have a friend with a 07 D max. $197 a month full coverage.

I cant help you on insurance beacuse im in va, but if you paying a lot each month its time to shop around. Or you have had a lot of claims... Looking into progressive. they are usually cheap and they pay up if you have a claim.

Colorado seems to be higher than some areas, and I had an exhibition of speed(breaking traction) ticket 4 years ago that the insurance company is still holding against me. That is the only ticket I have had since 1996. I have never been in an accident(while I was driving), never filed a claim with any insurance company. I pay $230 a month on the Dmax, and 106 a month for my 1500 gas truck. Both are full coverage. The 1500 is reg in Ca. My old 8.1 gas truck was around 125 a month out hear. Combine a 450.00 truck payment with the 230 ins and Im paying almost 700 a month for a truck I hardly ever drive. I only tow 1-2 times a year. I love the truck, it is just expensive. I know people who pay alot more than that too.

Spool time is not bad. I'm sure a smaller exhaust housing would help.
