I take it you have a warranty on it through them since they built it?

did everything i could to make sure the warranty was as valid as it could be, as in has them assemble it with their supplied/recommended pump. they didnt do the pickup tube and pan so they wanted those sent back to check that also (was +/-1/4" iirc), let's hope

paranoia mostly, it started showing some random KR at idle i figured what just some big cam problems, zero while driving. it kicked the belt again so i went through the entire accessories for alignment, tilt, slack on the belt, the tensioner and idle pulleys. i was (an possible still am) real close to deleting everything but the alternator - switching it to a low mount with a real short belt. and going electric water pump, electric steering rack, back to vac booster or volvo hydroboost pump. pulled the balancer and noticed the thrust endplay was ridiculous.

not really, engine still at tms. i had infinitely more fun just boosting the stock engine and pushing it till it blew, this shooting for x horsepower goal sucks

been putzing around a little bit, pulled the entire harness out of the engine bay; some of the loom i used before wasnt high temp i guess melted/flattened out i na few spots. going to lay it all out for the engine on the stand and tape and loom it up nicer, have a few things to shorten up.

still kicking around idea of going electric water pump and power steering- i grabbed a ford/volvo electric steering pump but its about the size of a 2 liter bottle, hard to find a good spot for it. will throw all the old accessories on it for now to make sure junk stays together for a while.

I have the np149 all ready to go in seems a little shorter than the bw4485, front shaft should work fine... the rear driveshaft i may need to get a longer one (back to stock length basically)

no sense in just fixing it without changing/upgrading
