Default Surprised about the little changes....

One day I looked at my exhaust set-up(03,5.3L Chevy,2.5" trual dual Super 40's dumped right by the axle, and also have a Magnacharger.) and starting shopping around of course for mufflers. After looking at the prices and wondering if its even worth it?I decided to do it myself....After a few cut-off discs and 2 newly welded back together Flowmasters..Wa-la!!(I cut the flows in half and re-moved baffles and re-arranged a few for structual reasons) I was actually impressed and the new "get up and go" I felt and the new found sound was actually thrilling.I did one at a time and after welding back up the first re-done muffler,I started it up and could actually feel the flow difference between the stock Flowmaster and my Frankenstein one.The truck still has the usually Chevy tubey sound, except that its cleaner and when I rev it,it sounds just plain nasty!!Like a cross between Bassani and magnaflow. Its nice and smooth at idle sounds great at WOT.Ill put up sound clips soon.
