supercharging a old school 350..
#1
Alright guys, I tried to search around for this, but couldn't find anything(maybe I just suck at searching
). But anyway,I have a 350 that I have been considering throwing a supercharger on. It's not exactly optimized for boost though, so I would like to get a couple opinions.. First off, it's a .030 over, 9.4:1 comp., with a set of stock vortec heads(modified to accept .550 lift) with an RPM air gap intake. The shortblock is factory forged, except the pistons, which are hyperutectic(sp?). I know I would have to limit boost and timing, but how much could I run? My guess is probably 6-7 psi max. What do you all think?

Well, I have considered doing a procharged blow through set-up, but what really got me thinking was I saw the new mp112 for the SBC and thought as good as their kits for the new trucks seem to be, that it would be a good way to go.
