Listen, you cant go wrong with the Maggy.

There are literally a hundred pages on this forum about all the types of superchargers and their individual pros and cons.

How much power do you want to make?
What are your goals?

Each type has it's limits too. Read as much as you can. Ask questions. Learn. Knowledge is power. Be powerful

JFWY, I am glad you got your boost fetish taken care of.....
now ya know in the vettes we've had the paxtons destroy all the maggie cars. They just seem to run outta steam, of course there is a pretty large weight difference (hell in my case half before we count the stuff behind the hitch)

um......the road race car is under construction, we were debating the stupidity of putting the 427 into the sub to finish the break-in miles on it.

the block and crank have done over 1000+ rwhp already with a F1R on em back in the day..

but then I remind myself i was gonna buy the sub an elave it alone, just rims, HID's, a sub, an ipod interface.....okay WTF was I kidding...look at my track record.

besides once I get my 1 7/8ths headers and a sawzall and torch out, I know you guys are gonna be running and hiding. Do I get a handicap fer being the biggest an heaviest effer here?

what everyone is saying is there's no 'best' for all situations, just what we find best for our situations.

heck I'd say show track times......but I'm only a ton heavier than half the pickups

Now we're talkin...

Wonder what it counts for if I've had most setups on C5's already...

stock LS6, LS6 with sts at 7 pounds, forged LS6 with sts at 14 pounds, LS6 with paxton and 15 pounds, 427 solid roller with juice.

h'mm...of course a month and a half after the 427 we find out they're makin 500+ cube LSx's at sema...

The old truck was 8.2 liters....I gotta do somethin with this one

both will give you the power, off idle torque......well that just equates to more tire spin and definetely more fun on the trans/rear. Unfortunately the 4L60's in 1500s are just weak by nature and aren't cheap to build to the point you still have to worry about them.

More power isn't always better, sometimes its more fun to have a good amount of power vs max power than you can use without destroying stuff (not particularly your motor, but the entire driveline is as strong as its weakest link etc.)
