stupid repeat question that...
im sure you all are all to tired to hear. But i have looked around about the radix and either its a good answer but its got more than i need to know or they have something i don't have. I am considering investing in a radix supercharger system. I have a 2001 chevy silverado LS with the 5.3. Its extended cab and 2wd. have stock wheels and tires that are two inches taller and wider than facory tires. Will i be able to run a radix system with a smaller pully and run somewhere from 7-9 psi of boost without killing everything. I will also be investing in a nelson tune after install, intake, and MAYBE e fans. so you think i can do this with my truck? if so what kinda gains would you Guess i might see? if not possible, what kinda setup can i run with a stock engine and tranny? thank you for your time and i am sorry about reposting something that has probably been posted 12000 times.

With 7-9 psi you can put down somewhere between 350-400 rwhp depending on your truck. I would advise getting a posi if you do not have one so you can put the power to the gound. As far as the engine, it will be fine with the radix. The tranny is the biggest worry. If you are not to hard on it, you should be good for a while. Hope this helps.

The 4L60E is a weak tranny...and will the weak point of any mods you do. Depending on how you drive after modding the truck, it may last a month or two, may last a year, maybe even two, but sooner or later it will take a dump. You can invest a little bit of money into it, shift kit and servos, and beef it up a little. It may do ok after that.
As for the Radix kit, it is an awesome kit, IMO the most complete one you can find. If you decide to get it, I would stick with the stock pulley size for awhile and see if that does what you want, then look into getting a smaller pulley and a tune at a later point. The rest of your setup is fine, the Radix kit is designed to work with an otherwise stock truck. Of course other mods would help out a lot, but you won't hurt anything by leaving everything else stock.
From my bone stock 1/4 time of 16.43, I dropped to a 14.38 after the Radix install. Everything else was still stock, down to the exhaust system. Mine is 4wd and a bit heavier, so I would say you would be low 14's in the 1/4 keeping everything else stock.

they just about covered it all the tune is everything...if you want to make shure it's all gonna stay together then tell allen and he will keep just so much tq mgmt in the tune so you'll have a better chance of not breaking something.if you just want so much more power then tell him and he can tune it down for you...

so you think with a few tranny upgrades, intake etc. i could see high 13's and still be safe? will a high 13 or low 14 beat most ricers? i beat most now, but there are a choice few that can still pull me on the street. No one else around here will have FI.
