I will be selling my vortech supercharger with maxflow racing bypass and complete FMIC for 2K when my STS kit gets here this week. If you are looking for a cheap alternative

I have quite a few supporting mods as you can see. Last time I dyno'd we shut it down early since I was going lean up top. We stopped a little under 5900 and I usually spun it up to 6200. It made around 440 I believe. I would say with enough injector 460 wouldnt be much of a stretch even with sub par tuning abilities like mine.

You're not looking at the #s correctly...

There are people using every forced induction system under the sun to make great power but you have to look at the total picture. The mods they use and the amount of boost they are running AND their specific engine. I made around 550rwhp with my STS at 14-15psi. I was using low compression and stock 6.0L heads. Now I am making 435rwhp on a high compression motor with aftermarket heads but only 5.8psi through a Radix. See how things can be misleading if you dont look at the whole picture. In this instance one might conclude the Radix is better since boost is lower but obviously this isnt always the case.

I also like the tat, looks sweet.
The STS is much easier to grow with when your power needs change. I say when, not if, as HP is addictive! If you have your parts installed by someone local make sure to find out who specializes in certain products in the area. Don't buy a system and pay someone to learn on your dime. Your wallet and engine will thank you later.
Those would be my deal makers/breakers. You can't go too wrong on most of the kits out there.

I definately wouldnt say that. Another guy on here made 511rwhp with the same vortech kit as I have, but a 3.12 pulley where as Im using a 2.87. He had a better tune obviously. But the fact of the matter is that Im going with the STS b/c I cant go any further with the Vortech. Any system that is setup correctly and with a good tune will make alot of power, but no system out of the box is going to make killer power. The STS requires some work, but is easier to upgrade than most supercharger systems. You also have to look at when the power comes on. A 435rwhp Radix truck is going to be faster on the street than a 460rwhp Vorteck truck. There are a ton of factors to consider like what you can afford to spend, how far you want to go, how good you are at working on things yourself. With any FI system expect some time and headaches when you first start. My kit from the dealer without an intercooler or meth only made 280rwhp after the initial install. Cam, meth, 10 tunes, intercooler, smaller pulleys, bigger bypass valves, etc later and it makes good power.

well for now im just looking for a little more kick in the pants
ive dealt with the Horsepower addiction on 2 z28s in the past few years
id like some good power, reliability(its gotta be a daily driver)
and some WOW factor in there is cool too
and not spend another 25000 in credit card debt like i did on the z28's

I have an STS turbo system. It is rock solid and an excellent performer. No way would I ever have any second thoughts. Good system.
