Sweet tat
I dont know if there as reliable as a truck with a stock turbo like a diesel.
And I do wonder about what all that water that comes out of your tailpipe, does to a rear mt turbo.
Almost 2 cents worth.

how about the vortech supercharger?

Scott Mills 02-24-2006 05:16 PM

Yes its worth it.

I would take an STS kit over everything currently on the market after the way it has performed for me.

Do a search on mjhoward. He has a base kit on a stock 5.3.

chevytat2 02-24-2006 05:42 PM

thanks
how bad are they on the tranny?

trtturbo 02-24-2006 05:45 PM

A typical 5.3 with the base STS will pick up around 100 to 125 rwhp. The kits are very expandable and as quicksilverado can attest, can perform their ass off. I have been selling the kits for a couple of years, and so far have not had any issue will condensation in the exhaust.

whats the base kit cost?
