I'm only at 8psi now but have seen some pretty high boost spikes with no issues yet...that I know of.
Had my trans built up about a month and a half after the install because I smoked the clutch pack like a bail of weed!!
Also did an Eaton posi install last summer. Everthing has held up great to date.
Welcome to boost land turbo brother!!

Thank you for the great info. Do most you guys use the Nelson Tuned ECU or aftermarket programable unit?

Welcome,
I'm running 12- 14 psi of boost, and the only thing done to the LQ4 is 918 springs. I'm going to turn it up once I get my 408 funds in place just to see how much it will take.
What trans do you have?

My 4.8l runs between 12 and 14psi, hits 15 on cold days once in a while. It had 109,000 miles when sts installed and 130,000 now. My cold knock has gotten a little worse but I have no noticable blowby and uses no oil. I have a new 5.3 on a stand just waiting for the 4.8 to expire. Buy the upgraded turbo, the meth kit and the two stage boost controller. The other day I was racing my boss in his 98 svt cobra, he had me by a fender then I switched to high boost. When the boost hit 10psi and the meth came on he thought i had nitrous. Then it went up to 15psi and that slobra had no chance. The next day he orderd a set of gears and a nitrous system.

I currently run 20psi on the t67, I have the stock bottom end, I have 6.0 heads, z06 cam, and 918 springs. I highly recommend upgranding your springs. A buddy of mine has t60 turbo and he can only push 12 psi max with alky/water, his air intake temps are way to high above that. I think he tryed 15psi and his IAT was 200*. Congrad's on buying the turbo I think you are going to love it. Good luck!
