Talking STS fuel injector for E85 ?????

Was looking at the STS setup and I have some question? Ive got a E85 motor and TRT told me the best setup is the ls1 type (taller) 44# injectors with the harness (BTW they told me the injector would have to be shimmed). Will they be a direct fit? I was told the connecter are different on the E85 motor? Also will a walbro 255 fit in my fuel tank? I dont have a clue on the internal fuel stuff with the E85 motor.

Any else have a E85 motor that they upgraded fuel stuff before? For a STS?

I agree with TRT. You have to change the injector wire pig tails any way, so might as go with more common injectors like the car ones. You do have to put about a 5/8 spacer in the fuel rail hold down to account for the taller LS1 style injectors, but not to big of a deal. the 04 flex fuel motor I have has a return style system, so you should be able to just add an in-line booster pump and be good.

Please help me out with what you mean by replacing the wire tails? What goes into replacing them and how long does it take?

I just replaced the connectors for the fuel injectors. They cost like $13 for all 8 and they're made by MSD. I just pulled the old injector connectors apart and put the new ones on. No soldering or cutting of wires and it didn't take very long. Probably like an hour or two, because it's pretty tedious work.

Are those connecters MSD PN2400? I just want to make sure they will fit the longer ls1 style injector because they look like the way to go for sure.
