So are coated pipes functional or fashionable So minus tune and injectors, you have, what $1500-1750 with the turbo?

What turbo did you guys use? I'd love to see a parts list and pics.

hehe got ya -- looks like you started with some STS parts too.

The lack of coating is what saved you money add that to your 2500 price and you're over what I mentioned above

Yep, the turbo is a T60 from a STS kit. The pipe that it bolted to the turbo is from the STS kit that was on my truck. I had the pipe laying around and could not use it again for my truck because one wastgate wasn't adequate for my 8.1l

I have had 3 turbos, settled for the Holset because of the high flow and fast spool. I dont have a price list but I could give a list of the parts I used. I do have an STS pump, just because I got a deal on it.

Doesnt it hurt spool time a lot when you have the muffler mounted before the turbo???

I know it hurts spool after the turbo but I thought the hotter and faster the exhaust gas was moving the faster it spooled

Anything between the heads and turbo increases pressure, which increases heat. If you put a really restrictive muffler in there that impedes the flow, that could impact it, but generally speaking, you don't need a very restrictive muffler with a turbo after it.
