That would make it a easy 12 second DD truck.

are you worried about the 5.3 taking that kind of power? 15lbs would put you at what like 600rwhp? ish?

I don't notice the long first gear.Feels the same. Truck is taking 14lbs no problem right now.

I'm doing a 200 mile trip tomorrow. We'll see how it does.

Not really. I ussually run 7lbs and have a manual controller in the truck to turn anytime I need too.The tune changes with it and meth is spraying.

What gears are in the Av? If you can, shoot a vid of the tach and speedo during a wot, 1-3rd. I'd like to see how and when it's shifting.

I have 4.10's and my trans just went out as well, I'm installing the 80E soon and maybe I'll keep the 4.10's if 2nd gear is strung out a little more than the 60e was.

btw, any track times on that truck?

I've got 4.10's and 285/50/20's on the truck which are 31" I think. Right now it's at a stock shiftpoint of 5500rpm or so.Way too early for me.Going to set it to 6300 or so to work with the Cam.When I know the tune is right I'll log the shiftpoint's to match up with rpm/mph.

Looks like I have to rebalance the driveshaft, getting a vibration at 62mph to 80mph.It's speed related and from the rear. No biggie.

The 80e does have a longer second gear, I used to shift at 90mph into 3rd with my 60e with 3.73's/30.5" tire and 6400rpm redline. With the same combo with the 80e, I shift at 100mph.

What drive shaft are you using? I want to go highspeed with mine and it's hard to find someone who will make a 5" diameter driveshaft.

thanks,
allen

Just ordered a shaft from Denny's. They do all our race cars and we have great result's. Went with a 3.5" steel with 1350 u-joints which is for up to 140mph. He does offer a 4" that has a higher speed rating.
