The correct answer is no. You can get a much better bang for your buck with some turbo kits. Especialy the ones sold buy sponsors.
In that case, how about a it depends on what your goals are. If you want big block like tq right off of idle then yes. Personally I would not get the Edelbrock but that is just me. I am just getting tired of every Supercharger thread getting turned into a pissing contest.

Another thing to remember about a supercharger package like the Edelbrock (and others), is the 50 states legal emissions. That does matter to quite a large crowd.

My MP112 came with a CARB sticker. The sticker stayed on it, even after it was modified. It never had to pass an emissions test, but it could have...

Casper what kind of results do u have from it? How many psi comes with the base kit.

Thanks for posting. This kit seems like a decent way to make extra power. There is no extra thinking or fabbing. Which to some people is worth the extra 1500. I keep reading that it comes with EVERYTHING to install. Which is a plus but I don't see a hand held tuner, do they come with one or is that not an option.

More choices the better! I just wanna see some results

I was referring to be worth bang for buck. Personally I'm more of a fan of roots style S/c as they are a lot less piping and components to go wrong.

AS I said, for the average guy, these kits make great sense. For the guys submersed into like most of us are, there are far better options to make actual rwhp.

On Trucks they showed a Handheld that came with the kit, Its a start to finish complete package. Posted from edelbrock a 5.3 truck made 364 rwhp with this kit

Defiantly a nice looking blower tho

i agree with some guys on the ease and laid out steps on this. for people that are looking for something that they can do like this and have it be reliable etc, this is for them. but people who have access to people like mike at new era performance here in rochester to help tune and even install stuff for you, you can afford to go with a custom s/c kit or turbo kit that you can get more power from and do supporting engine/drivetrain mods to help out.

to be honest this would be perfect for me because my dad and i could make a weekend project out of it and the same time put in a new cam/dod delete kit/etc. sure id like a turbo or even go the route that mike did with his 5.3 whipple project but Edelbrock did it right with this kit.

I would really like to see someone's before and after dyno of this, especially down low around 2000rpm. I love the idea of the longer runner for more TQ but they've never shown exactly how much in any of the stuff I've looked through; which never makes me feel good.

Also has someone ever custom tuned/pullied down one of these and really pushed them? I wonder home hard the IAT's are when the boost is up cranked with those long runners...

Love the concept, look, detail of everything with this kit. If I could get the right answers it would almost make it worth the money. Thanks for the post!
