Spark Plugs for FI?
#1
From what I have been reading, it looks like I should ditch the expensive factory double platinum NGKs and replace them with the cheapo V-power TR55 or TR6 plugs. Platinum and iridium are not recommended with FI. Is this correct and how often should the TR55's be replaced? Also, should I alter the OE .060 gap with FI?

Allot of people on here are running the TR6s with a.035" gap.
I am, and have had no issues for a year with plugs.
Just swapped mine out and they were about .005" wider gap than when I put them in a year ago.
I heard the Lightnings came from the factory with them or was it that they were a recommended replacement?? Not really sure on that though.

I think Magnacharger recommends staying with the stock plugs with the stock boost the kit comes with. If you pulley down then you may want to switch to the NGK TR6 which is a cooler plug.
I am running the NGK TR6 with a high boost setting of 9-10 psi but it seems to run fine with them on the low boost setting of 5 psi as well.
It looks to me that NGK TR6 come with a stock gap of .039 not .035 NGK TR6 PLugs. This is actually a gap of 10 mm = .039".
