Default Boost with radix questions?

I have a Radix on my 6.0L with a with my 3.2" pulley & I what to just verify a few things

I see:
-18psi vaccuum @ idle
~ -10ps1 vaccuum @ cruise
&
it gets less and less as I increase the throttle

Correct, right?

Then I can usually see:

+1psi boost with some more throttle
+3/4 psi boost with most throttle
+6/7 psi boost with full throttle

Max I ever saw was +7psi

Correct right?

I already have the Electrical guage hooked up but now I'm thinking I should have went Mechanical for more accuracy and could have saved a few bucks.

Would it be worth it to switch?

If not worth the switch, can I also cut and shorten the vaccuum hose that came with the electrical guage. I have it rolled up right now but could shorten it a good bit.

Thanks,

Kevin

Everything sounds about right. I would stick to the electrical gauge because you can integrate it into any data logging software you might get in the future.

Awesome. Knew I went with that for a reason. Just couldn't remeber what it was. Thanks man.

So should I just shorten the vaccuum hose it came with or just get some different hose?

I've read of it not being the best (kinks ect.) & some people getting different hose.

Cool

The vacuum hose can be cut to the length needed to suit your installation. Try to mount your pressure sensor that connects by wires to your gauge away from engine heat and vibration.

At idle I would guess you are seeing -18 inch of mercury not -18 psi of vacuum. It looks to me that your gauge measures Boost in PSI and Vacuum in Inches of Mercury. My truck runs -9.xx psi of vacuum at idle.

1 pound/square inch [absolute] = 2.036 020 658 inch of mercury [0 °C]
