it would eventually equal out pressure so you would make same boost pressure with or without the plug. The only difference is with the plug it may have slowed opening speed slightly causing a slightly quicker spool.

The AMS style controllers just shoot for a target PSI on top of the gate, it doesn't care what your motor is doing. It basically is creating a variable air spring.

In lower backpressure setups, 1psi on the gate will add 1psi over what the spring does.

Guys I use on my cust car a simple setup. Small compressor, switch to control compressor, and a small tank with regulator.. I got the idea from a air horn setup and a air shifter.

So after removing that plug my truck only makes 5psi. But it holds that 5psi with no creep. It is like it hits a wall! Time to get off my butt and finish the boost controller install.
