on my boosted 08' 6.0 ly6

heard some chattering one afternoon...so next am took valve covers off to find this





no biggy just order a new titaniunm retainer and seal....?

wrong,head sleeve for the seal ended up being broken as i removed spring...




ok so order a new oem head...no big deal

wrong again
and this is cyl #3 dont know wtf happened here






i noticed that while on the ground messing with the head,so im crossing my fingers hoping the piston is ok then.....

Man that's a lot of work on photoshop to make an elaborate april fools joke!

 

That sucks.

 

How far did you get to push it before all this ? 10psi? 15psi? 20psi?

 

Chattering? I'm surprised that thing was even running.

 

Damn evrything you keep taring down seems to be fuked, that sucks.


So what is the final diagnosis?

 

Didn't this just get boosted recently too? Man that sucks now there's room for improvement in the future though!

Yea cruised on 5psi and pushed it to 13 with meth every now and then.
I had tr6 plugs and now know I need colder plugs and well of corse now need to go forged.
