Default Simple-Stupid PSI?

I sold my 2010 6.2 and picked up 2013 5.3... I was just ready for something different but boy is this thing gutless.

I don't have a local tuner (that I know of - Central AR) and I really don't want to nickle-and-dime for 10hp here and 20hp there on intake/exhaust/etc.

I am handy under the hood with a few ASE friends but little to no time to tinker. Is there such thing as a out of the box FI kit that works and works well? Oh, and don't KILL my mpg? Yes, I have read the sticky comparison; just looking for more insight for my particular situation. I'm not looking to invest $8K for 600+ hp. Just something reliable/stable to improve driveability.

Thanks!

Lysholm is bolt on, plug the programmer in, load tune and go. Mine dyno'd at 368rwhp on their tune. Dropped one pulley size, added headers and dyno tune bumped it to 435

Most SC kits come with tune and are bolt on. The tunes suck though.

TVS1900 kit bolts on and goes.
Few turbo kits out there that will bolt on and go with very little work.

Thanks guys. Jonathan, are you saying there ARE full turbo kits out there like that? ...tell me more.

I'd be fine with buying/driving a modest 100% SC kit but it sucks that they are $6k and you lose 3+mpg from what I see in a quick read. I've really started to enjoy this 16-17mpg coming from the 12mpg in my 6.2. I guess I can't have all my wishes.

you can contact Trick performance

Trick Performance Products

See if he can gather you injectors and such to make it a complete kit. just gonna have to get a tune.

But its just a matter of getting all your ducks in a row before actually installing the kit.

I would do a used tvs1900. Mileage will be the same as long as you dont drive like an *** everywhere.
