I've been completely blown away that just recently Radix have been popping up in the FS forum for right around 3g's some even a little under. The torque curve on a 6.0 just blows my mind. Also, people have said the radix is no good up top, but from the graph's I've seen they seem to pull fine to 6000
Anyways, the reason it will be too late is because I've just spent about 3g's on stuff to stay NA...once I put the ported heads on compression will be well too high for FI. The heads/cam should put me at 400rwhp or so, but it seems the radix will yield more power for cheaper. It's not to late for me to jump ship and sell all this stuff I have in favor of the blower.
Thoughts?

I too have been very tempted by the FI systems that have been very inexpensive in the FS section.
If you got the money, I would get one.
My thoughts are this, if everyone just bought a radix or other reliable FI at the beginning, we wouldn't have to waste money on the other stuff. Most of it makes the trucks less drivable.
I didn't do this, but for my next truck I will.

Exactly; thats the problem I had with my truck and at the time didnt have time to fool with it. The 65e isnt a good tranny for a radix unit hp or TQ its just to much for that tranny to handle.

My radix ran just fine up top. I had a mild cam in my LQ9 and shifted at 6300. The main downfall to a basic radix is once you've gone to the smallest pulley, thats it. But if you can be happy with 500rwhp and even more torque, then the radix will be just fine.

When u consider all the work it takes to get there NA, let alone the extra cost now, the Radix is an EASY decision! Simple bolt on unit, get the underdrive crank pulley, and maybe up ur cam if u wanna get fancy. As for the 4L65, as long as u stay south of 500rwhp and do shift kit/servos ull be fine - of course it all depends how bad u abuse it!
If u go 4L80 ull be sacrificing rwhp...R/
