Solid/conservative place to start. This is along the lines I was thinking.

I ran mine with just the Whipple and no other mods at 6lbs for 50k miles, towing an enclosed trailer a good bit during that time. It finally got to where it would start to slip on the 1-2 shift. But I don't beat on the truck - much.

It was only after I had the tranny upgraded and I upped the power that I broke the output shaft.....

Shorty headers are not necessarily worth less..... they gain about half the power long tubes do, so I would keep them for now until you get everything else figured out. B/c the $800+ of longtubes, y pipe etc is not really worth the 10 more hp tq you will get, when you could put that $800 towards a boost cam which could gain you 40-50 depending on the psi. But I agree with the list that was made for you to do first!

Clean looking truck though man, I love the white with those rims and cowl hood!

thank for the replies, I am going to start doing some research, I will probably just get it tuned and try to get rid of the electronics and work on the intake first, then go from there, I am getting the rockers and one of the bedsides fixed and redoing the tailgate so I will see where that leaves me
