Default S480 v-band outlet...Why???

I've seen several guys with this turbo and they don't seem to have the v-band. Why does mine? I really don't want to have to put a v-band on my cold pipes. What would you do?

You can have it with different covers. If I had to guess, the big rig trucks use the v-band because its more durable. I ordered the slip fit on mine.

Most of the BW's I've seen have Vbands all over. But smoke is right, you can specify when you order...

my s465 had same thing. when you order you have to ask for the slip fit outlet. i had a v band weld to a short piece of 3" pipe. just used that as the slip fit.

The slip cover adds to the turbo. I think 300.00 suppose to flow more as well.

I just used the weld on v-band kit with the integrated o-ring. My silicone couplers will cause issues before that v-band connection does.
