Default s480 rebuild

best place to get my s480 rebuilt.? heard work turbo was pretty decent. any other options out there

It is quite simple to do yourself. I did mine for just over $100.

Bought it knowing it needed rebuild . All I know s it has decent shaft play but didn't touch the housing

All BW turbos do. If it's not touching the housing and there is no thrust, in/out play, then it doesn't need rebuilding. Run it!

Mine was sloppy too. I rebuilt it but it didn't help at all. All new parts never tightened it up. When oil fills it up, the tolerances tighten up. I say run it until it touches.

Even if that's true. It's been to two people before me work quoted me 300 I might do it just for piece of mind
