Default s475 vs s465 differences

i have a 5.3 silverado single cab with a front mount s475 T6 1.10A/R and i could only foot brake maybe 1psi with a 3200 converter. it took maybe 300feet before it would make full boost (10psi) and break the tires loose, anything before 300 feet it wouldnt do anything until the full 10psi came in. today i received my s465 and put it on my truck. right away i felt a difference in drive-ability. i foot braked it to about 2psi on the street with 325/50 MT drag radials and as soon as i let go of the brake its gently started spinning the tires and eventually just got out of control and hit full boost within 30 feet! i would say it is a verry noticeable difference and it still hits as hard as the s475!

here are the specs of the two turbos

s475
Compressor Wheel Inducer/Exducer 75mm x 100mm
Turbine Wheel Inducer/Exducer 83mm x 74mm

s465
Compressor Wheel Inducer/Exducer 64mm x 91mm
Turbine Wheel Inducer/Exducer 83mm x 74mm

Well yea....smaller turbo spools faster/easier with a given displacement. The real question is what is the difference in the efficiencies at the pressure ratio where you are operating...

I assume its still a T6, so probably not as high as it could be... But the high end with that turbo on a 5.3 should be real nice

You just need better brakes or 4x4, I have a lower stall with a 5.7 ls1 and in 4x4, didn't have much trouble spooling a S480 with the same hot side you have to 6-7psi and I'm up in the clouds at 5000' elevation.

I'm calling shenanigans Kyle, you didn't just run 0-100 in like 10 seconds. I think that speedo needs a recal

not sure in percentage what the effeciencey is but i do not it is much greater now that i switched turbos being that the 475 is rated up to 1000 and the 465 is rated to 780 and i plan on around 600-650rwhp

yes sir still a t6 just swapped turbos both on 1.10 A/r's basically the only changes were smaller compressor wheels.

i will get a video up soon.

and yes kyle my breaks arent all that great but this converter is pretty tight and the tun is no were near completed. im sure i will squeeze out about 5-6psi at the track with sticky tires and a final tune. the ride to 15psi should be fun
