Alright, so I will try it with no muffler first and see how loud it will be. JUST IF it is too loud, the muffler needs to go between the cats and the turbo, right? But this is an 'IF'

Did ANYONE use the Diablo Tune that came with the STS kit. My kit is a universal kit and doesn't have a diablo, but I have one of my own. Can anyone that used this on a chevy, LS based motor, 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 8.1, etc. send me a copy of this tune so I have something to start with. I cant afford EFiLive right now so this is about my only choice.

 

IMO, you are better off waiting until you can afford the things you need, like wide band, boost gauge, injectors/ pump and tuning software. HPTuners maybe a bit cheaper....
I THINK you already have 42lb injectors... You'll need more I bet..

 

Even if I do get HPtuners or EFILive, I'm not going to know where to start. If I had something close, it would help ALOT.
And my next investment is the Injectors. I already have NGK T6 plugs on the way and a MSD Fuel Pump Booster, which I think will be plenty because this is still going to be a daily driver and I'm not going to be pushing massive amounts of PSI, so I think a whole new pump is unnecesary.

 

Sow what is a capable sized intercooler??? And are the eBay intercooler really that good?

 

There are a number of threads about intercoolers, I would search and read through the ones you find. They show installed pictures and have a lot of info.

 

8.1l have 32# injectors. The marine 8.1l has the 42#. Whipple496 had 42# in his truck and maxed them out.
You probably wont need the pump booster. 8.1l has a bigger pump. I was able make 550whp on the stock pump.
You might be best served with a mail order tune like Nelson.
