I would try to remove and reinstall the old one first.....make sure all the the o-rings are intact and lubed up like a virgin on prom night.

If you can tell me what your FP is with the key on and the engine off I can tell you if it is bad.

OK I'll check that out when I get off work......You want me to jumper out my relay so the gauge stays on, then kill my truck?

What should the pressure do and what shouldn't it do?

If I left off the smallest O-ring, the one on the tip, would that cause the problem that I'm seeing. I'm trying to remember, but I think I may have left that one off, that is if this pic is acurate....... Can't wait to get home to check. aaarrrrrrg

All you should have to do is turn the ignition on without starting the engine to let the fuel pump prime.
